I fell in love at first sight recently...with the photography of Amy Archer.
Full disclosure, Amy happens to be my kids' middle school English teacher, but I had no idea she was such a talented photographer as well until she displayed some of her work at our recent school's Spring Fair.
There's a lot to love about her work, particularly that she captures so beautifully the quiet in the midst of our chaotic world.
She reminds us that the best of life is in the small moments, that so many of us overlook in our hurry to get to the next big thing. Her work celebrates the minutiae of everyday life, and by taking notice of such things, she elevates the ordinary to extraordinary.
